The Alaska Railroad

What:     Laser scan a 90 year old railroad trestle to determine bridge condition

Where:   Hurricane Gulch, south of Denali National Park, Alaska, USA

When:    September 2005

Who:     The Alaska Railroad, Intelisum

The purpose of this project was to demonstrate the value of laser scanning to The Alaska Railroad as a tool for creating as-built, 3D computer models of the infrastructure they maintain.  This was the first time Pete used a laser scanner in the field.
